Last weekend I had the honor of being one of thirty influencers selected to participate in the 2nd annual e.l.f Cosmetics Beautyscape weekend. I found out about Beautyscape about two weeks before the Instagram contest deadline. I submitted the three required photos, and just a few days later I was shocked to receive an email saying I was a winner! I couldn’t believe I would have the opportunity to spend a weekend in Austin with a brand I have been using for years and I would have never thought such a blessing could come my way as a small blogger.
As I got ready for the weekend with e.l.f. I was definitely very excited for what was to come but also very nervous to travel alone and to meet with a brand for the first time.
I got over my nerves pretty quickly once I got to LAX bright and early on Thursday. While waiting to board my plane I met Alfie and Marta who were also traveling to Beautyscape and the three of us became super close throughout the weekend!
Me, Marta, Alfie, Frankie Grande
Thursday night was a blast! We meet the other influencers and had dinner with our host for the weekend Frankie Grande. We had a casual poolside dinner and got to know everyone pretty quickly.
Friday was filled with learning about e.l.f. products, new launches and product development. As a product reviewer I was eager to learn every detail I could about how the creative team designs new product ideas!
One of my favorite upcoming releases is the new e.l.f. highlighters!
We spent the afternoon with Patrickstarrr learning how to grow as a beauty influencer and how to overcome setbacks.
We also had a makeup master class with Melanie Inglessis who shared her tips on how to be red carpet ready using e.l.f. products.
On Saturday after a long day at SXSW we had a farewell dinner that was definitely bittersweet! By Saturday we had all become very close and we were cherishing our last event together!
One of my favorite moments from our last dinner was getting to meet ThatsHeart. She was one of the first YouTubers I started watching years ago and meeting her was surreal. She was incredibly sweet and took the time to speak with every one of us.
The entire weekend was incredibly transformative to say the least. If you had told me going into 2017 or even a month ago that I would have an opportunity like Beautyscape I would have never believed it! I left the weekend with so much gratitude for e.l.f. for giving me such a valuable experience and the chance to meet so many other creators. E.l.f. selected such a diverse group of influencers from different states and backgrounds. There is nothing I love more about beauty than how universal is it and we were all able to connect so personally with one another through our passion for beauty and sharing it with others.
E.l.f. Beautyscape was such a fulfilling experience that I could have only ever dreamed of. Thank you to the e.l.f. team for turning my dream into a reality this past weekend!
I shared more of my experience in my e.l.f. Beautyscape vlog:

elf has come a LONG way since they first came out. Their products have become better and better as the years have gone on. I love how affordable they are and that they are now available at CVS. I NEED to try their Mad for Matte 2 palette. Thanks for sharing your experience with us!
